How do you decide which treatment my animal needs?
Each session begins with observation and gentle assessment of your animal’s movement, posture, and overall presentation. From there, the most appropriate techniques are selected based on what your animal needs on the day.
Sessions are always tailored and may involve one or more modalities — no two animals are treated the same.
How many sessions will my animal need?
This varies depending on the animal and the reason for treatment. Some animals benefit from a single session, while others may need a short series of sessions to support longer-term change.
Ongoing or maintenance sessions can be helpful for performance animals, ageing animals, or those with recurring tension.
Can bodywork be used as preventative care?
Yes. Regular sessions can help support mobility, comfort, nervous system balance, and overall wellbeing — even when no obvious issues are present. Many clients use bodywork as part of their animal’s ongoing care routine.
Do you work with anxious or sensitive animals?
Yes. Sessions are calm, respectful, and animal-led. Nervous system regulation and emotional safety are always prioritised, and animals are given time, space, and choice throughout their session.
When might you not treat an animal?
There are situations where treatment may not be appropriate or may need to be postponed. These include:
Open wounds, acute swelling, or active injury
Certain stages of pregnancy
Animals that are completely unhandled
Pre-competition sessions for animals not previously treated
If you’re unsure, please get in touch and we can discuss your animal’s situation.
What happens during a session?
Sessions typically include observation, gentle assessment, and animal-led bodywork tailored to your animal’s needs. There is no rushing, forcing, or restraint — sessions progress at the animal’s pace.
Is holistic bodywork a replacement for veterinary care?
No. Holistic bodywork is designed to complement — not replace — veterinary diagnosis or treatment. Always consult your veterinarian for medical concerns. We are happy to work alongside vets and allied professionals where appropriate.
How do payments work?
Payment is required on the day of treatment. Payment options include EFTPOS or direct debit (direct debit must be completed prior to the session).
Do you service areas outside the Latrobe Valley?
Yes. While based in the Latrobe Valley, we service many areas across Gippsland. Travel fees may apply for some locations and will be discussed at the time of booking.
