The Story Behind Helios

Helios Paw Balm carries the name of a very special dog who left a much bigger mark on my life than he could ever have known.

Helios came to me as a client, but describing him simply as a Great Dane doesn't quite do him justice. He was an amazing soul who just happened to be living in a Great Dane body.

There was something incredibly special about him, and like so many of the animals we're fortunate enough to meet through this work, he became far more than simply a name in my client book.

Sadly, Helios' life was taken far too soon.

His loss affected me deeply, and I wanted something positive and lasting to come from knowing him. That became the inspiration for Helios Paw Balm.

Every tin that carries his name is a small part of his legacy — created to care for the paws of other dogs while remembering one extraordinary set of paws that crossed my path.
